Evening All,

This is a little out of the ordinary, but the Event's Department is promoting an unofficial event being held on Sunday the 19th July 2020 for the sendoff of the final B744 from the Qantas Fleet. The following event information was provided :)

Next Wednesday is the official end for the Qantas 747 fleet and we thought we as a flight sim community should pay our respects to the one and only 'Queen of the Skies'

This Sunday we will depart from Sydney we will track north along the coast tattooing the numbers '747' before heading inland to Longreach - the birthplace of Qantas. After saying goodbye to former Qantas 747-200 'City of Bunburry' based at the Qantas Founders Museum the group will fly down to Brisbane before the long leg to Mojave where 'Oscar-Echo-Juliet' will rest her tired wings for the very last time.

Over almost 50 years, Qantas has operated many types of the 747. From the beginning with the-100 and through to the -400. The entire fleet has traveled around the world in what some could say millions of times, taking just as many passengers across it too! From all of us, it will be a fond farewell and we thank them for their service

ATC is requested for this event!!! from 0000z - 0500z as the pilots fly from Sydney to Longreach via Brisbane!
